Gary A Kalpokoff

Gary’s welding background was mostly self-taught, and along with his unique creative process, no two sculptures will ever be alike. Using a template, he carefully marks the image onto the steel before using a plasma torch to cut two identical shapes. Then he polishes the edges, before utilizing a slip-roll, which curves the sculpture. Finally, before adding a base, he welds the two pieces together, taking it from a 2D representation of petroglyphs to a 3D aspect.
